Warota: I Live Next to The Demon King’s Castle LOL

Listen up Crusaders, we have a wild one hitting the radar today. Team EARTH WARS—the same devs behind LOST EPIC—and publisher One or Eight INC. are dropping a brand new village-building ARPG called Warota: I Live Next to The Demon King’s Castle LOL. It hits Steam Early Access on November 12, and the concept is absolutely FUEGO!.

You play as a “Bounder,” a rare soul reincarnated by a Goddess with the power of creation. You are dropped into Luna, a world completely wrecked by the Demon King, and your job is to rebuild society from literal scraps. You gather materials like wood, ore, and food to construct over 30 different buildings, cook meals, and grow your tiny setup into a thriving settlement. But you are not doing this shit alone. You recruit villagers and manage them by literally tossing hats on their heads.

There are over 20 Class-granting hats that transform regular NPCs into Farmers, Woodcutters, Mages, Warriors, and more. You can automate your town by assigning them jobs to keep the economy running, or you can drag them out on adventures to fight by your side. You are going to need the backup too, because your next-door neighbor is Platinum, a party-obsessed idol Demon King.

Every night, this crazy chick throws massive concerts (“Lives”) that whip hordes of monsters into a frenzy, sending them straight to attack your village. To survive these chaotic raids, you have to scour the map for Goddess Statues. Praying at these statues hooks you up with stackable blessings—like massive attack buffs, faster recovery speeds, and elemental effects—so you can craft your own custom combat style and shut her loud ass parties down.

The game is dropping in Early Access for $24.99, but they are running a 10% launch discount until November 20. It features English, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese language support. They are planning to release the full Version 1.0 in 2027 with new lands, more story, and extra hats. If you happen to be at the Tokyo Game Show this year, you can even play a demo of it over at Hall 2, Booth 02-C12.
