THE EXPANSE: A TELLTALE SERIES GETS A PHYSICAL RELEASE ON PS5 AND SWITCH

If you’ve been waiting for an excuse to pull The Expanse out of the digital void and actually put a copy on your shelf, Limited Run Games just handed you one. The Expanse: A Telltale Series is getting a physical release for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch, and pre-orders are open now through October 18, 2026.

The five-episode narrative adventure puts you in the boots of Camina Drummer, once again voiced by Cara Gee, and takes place before the events of the television series. You’re dropped aboard the Artemis, heading into zero-g scavenging runs, crew drama, pirate problems and the kind of decisions that make you stare at the screen for ten seconds because you already know Telltale is about to make you regret something later.

That is where this game has its charm. The Expanse already lives in a universe where survival is messy, politics are ugly and nobody gets a clean choice handed to them, so dropping that into a Telltale-style setup just works. Every conversation feels like it could come back around and punch you in the face three episodes later, which is exactly the kind of narrative pressure cooker this series should be playing in.

The physical editions include the game on disc or cartridge, special cover art and an eight-page booklet. The standard edition is priced at $39.99 in the U.S., with versions also available for the UK, Europe and Canada. Nothing overly crazy here, but for collectors who actually like owning their games, this is already looking pretty FUEGO compared to leaving everything trapped behind a download button.

For fans of the show, the biggest win is getting another story inside this universe that still feels connected to what made The Expanse hit so hard in the first place. You get Drummer, you get tension, you get moral chaos and you get choices that actually carry weight. That kind of immersion is exactly what makes narrative games like this work when they are firing on all cylinders.
