New NARUTO TV Anime Limited Series Details Coming at NYCC 2026

NARUTO fans, New York Comic Con 2026 just got a lot more interesting. VIZ Media is bringing a “NARUTO: What’s Next?” Special Stage to the Empire Stage on Saturday, October 10, and the big hook is exactly what it sounds like: new details about a NARUTO TV anime limited series are finally coming. Yes, they absolutely knew what they were doing by scheduling this on Naruto Uzumaki’s birthday.

The panel runs from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. EDT at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, and thankfully this is not one of those “you had to be in the room” situations. The event is also scheduled to stream worldwide on the official NARUTO / BORUTO YouTube channel, so fans outside New York can watch the reveal in real time instead of piecing it together from shaky phone clips and ten-second social posts.

The guest lineup is a strong one. Junko Takeuchi, the Japanese voice of Naruto Uzumaki, and Noriaki Sugiyama, the Japanese voice of Sasuke Uchiha, are both set to appear, joined by Yoshihiro Tominaga of Studio Pierrot, executive producer at PIERROT FILMS. That combination alone tells you this is not being positioned as a casual anniversary chat. If VIZ is putting the voices of Naruto and Sasuke on stage with Studio Pierrot leadership, fans are right to expect something substantial.

The anime news is not the only reveal planned either. VIZ says the panel will also share the latest information about the NARUTO CARD GAME, which is currently scheduled for release in 2027. So yes, if your wallet thought it was safe because you only had to worry about anime, apparently not.

The franchise has more than earned this kind of spotlight. Masashi Kishimoto’s manga began serialization in 1999 and wrapped with chapter 700 in 2014, while the anime debuted in 2002 and continued through NARUTO SHIPPUDEN until 2017. More than two decades later, NARUTO is still moving through anime, games, collectibles, stage productions and now a new card game. Plenty of franchises talk about longevity. NARUTO keeps casually proving it.

New York Comic Con 2026 runs October 8 through October 11 at the Javits Center in New York City. Comic Crusaders will be watching the “NARUTO: What’s Next?” stage closely, because between the limited-series reveal, the voice cast appearances and new card game updates, this has the potential to be one of the biggest anime moments of the weekend.
