“What we like about Donkey Kong is the humor in his world. It gives us a lot to play with. Seeing the Suit and the Summer Set come together was a real highlight.” And they definitely did not design this collection to blend quietly into the background.

The DONKEY KONG Men’s Suit comes in a deep brown covered with DK artwork, barrels and bananas, then finishes everything off with the character’s classic red tie. It is bold, loud and immediately recognizable without looking like somebody simply printed a game screenshot across a jacket. The suit will be available in U.S. sizes 36 through 52 with an MSRP of $129.99.

For anyone whose idea of dressing up does not involve wearing a jacket while the temperature outside is trying to cook them alive, the DONKEY KONG Adult Summer Set pairs a short-sleeve shirt with matching shorts and goes straight for bright yellow jungle madness. Designed with a unisex fit and offered in sizes S through 2XL, the set carries an MSRP of $64.99 and feels built for summer parties, vacations, festivals and gaming events where subtlety clearly was never part of the mission.

The collection also brings back the previously released DONKEY KONG Hawaiian Shirt, which takes things in a greener direction with jungle foliage, palm trees and Donkey Kong-inspired artwork across a relaxed camp-collar design. Available in sizes XS through 3XL, the shirt has an MSRP of $44.99, giving fans the easiest entry point into the collection if a head-to-toe DK fit feels like a little too much banana business.

Donkey Kong first smashed his way into gaming history in 1981, and more than four decades later the character remains one of Nintendo’s most recognizable names. From his arcade beginnings to the Donkey Kong Country era and generations of appearances throughout Nintendo games, DK has managed to stay relevant while basically maintaining the same core philosophy: eat bananas, break stuff and look good in a tie.
