Wepa! Skybound is coming into New York Comic Con 2026 with some secrets in the chamber, and they are not exactly being subtle about it. The publisher behind Invincible, The Walking Dead and the Energon Universe has announced its NYCC panel and signing lineup for October 8 through 11, with a brand-new comics slate set to be revealed in front of the Javits Center crowd.
The big mystery is Skybound Comics: Vision for the Future, happening Friday, October 9 from 4:00 to 4:45 PM in Javits Center North, Room 406.3. Skybound is promising the world-premiere reveal of an all-new publishing slate, with Stephen Graham Jones, Leandro Fernández, Tate Brombal, Matt Emmons, Doug Mahnke and Executive Editor Ben Abernathy joining the panel. Editorial Director Alex Antone will moderate, and yes, when a publisher starts yelling “top secret” this loudly before NYCC, you know the room is going to be hunting for announcements.

Energon Universe fans get their turn Saturday, October 10 from 11:15 AM to 12:15 PM in Javits Center North, Room 406.2. Transformers & G.I. Joe: What’s Next for the Energon Universe Comics? brings Robert Kirkman, Dan Watters, Tom Reilly, Jason Howard and Conor Hughes together to talk about what comes next for Transformers, G.I. Joe, Void Rivals and M.A.S.K.. Ben Abernathy moderates that one, so expect Skybound to have plenty to say about where the shared universe goes from here.

The Crusade is going to be all over NYCC, so the off-site action is on our radar too. Skybound’s fourth annual Energon Universe group signing hits Midtown Comics Times Square on Friday, October 9 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at 200 W 40th Street. Kyle Higgins, Dan Watters, Tom Reilly, Andrea Milana, Jason Howard, Conor Hughes and Ben Abernathy are scheduled to appear, with the upcoming G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero / Tomb Raider miniseries joining the Energon Universe books in the signing lineup.

For Comic Crusaders readers making their NYCC schedules right now, these are the Skybound stops worth circling. The mystery slate gives Friday’s panel the biggest unknown, while Saturday is the one for anybody invested in the Energon Universe and wondering how much crazier that corner of comics can get. Between those panels and the Midtown signing, Skybound has effectively stretched its NYCC presence beyond the Javits floor and into Friday night in Times Square.

New York Comic Con 2026 runs October 8 through 11 at the Javits Center in New York City. Comic Crusaders will be on the ground covering the convention, talking with creators and chasing the announcements that matter, so keep it locked right here as NYCC gets closer. The Crusade Never Ends!
