Dubby Energy Review: The Gaming Energy Drink That Actually Replaced My Coffee!

Clean energy, no jitters, no crash and I finished the whole thing before I wrote a single word of this review.

I want to be upfront about how I did this review. I didn’t try one flavor and call it a day. I worked through four of them Sweet & Sour Blue Razz, Grandma’s Lemonade, Tiger’s Blood, and Dragonade until the tubs were gone. Only then did I sit down and write this. That’s the only fair way to review something you’re putting in your body every day. And I’ve been putting Dubby in my body every day. Two cups. No coffee. No soda. No other energy drink. Just Dubby, and I feel great.

Dubby was built by one person a founder named Anthony who tried a major competitor’s drink, hated the ingredients, and decided to make something better from his apartment in San Diego. That’s the whole origin story and honestly it shows in the product. There are no fillers here. No maltodextrin. No artificial colors or dyes. No sugar. The formula is built around coffee cherry extract the fruit that surrounds the coffee bean which delivers natural caffeine alongside focus-supporting vitamins and amino acids. The result is 150mg of caffeine per scoop with no jitter spike and no afternoon crash. It’s manufactured in FDA-registered, GMP-compliant facilities in the United States. When a brand is this transparent about what’s in the tub and where it’s made, that tells you something.

The Four Flavors I Tested

Sweet & Sour Blue Razz  This is the blueberry-forward one and it’s exactly what the name promises. Blue raspberry with a sour edge that balances out the sweetness. Grandma’s Lemonade This one comes from Dubby’s Hydro line, which means it’s caffeine-free and designed for hydration. That doesn’t make it lesser  it makes it smart. The flavor is clean and bright, genuinely tastes like real lemonade, and it fits perfectly as an afternoon option when you’ve already hit your caffeine for the day. As a standalone drink it’s excellent. As part of a daily routine alongside the caffeinated tubs, it fills a real gap.

Dragonade Dragon fruit lemonade. This was the one I was most curious about and it delivered. The dragon fruit flavor isn’t overdone  it’s present without being artificial, and the lemonade base keeps it grounded. Worth noting that Dragonade is currently sold out on the site, which tells you the community found it too. If it comes back in stock, get it.

Tiger’s Blood Classic snow cone flavor. Watermelon, strawberry, and a hint of coconut that keeps it from going too sweet. This one mixed the smoothest of the four and had the most consistent color and clarity in the glass. It’s the one I’d hand to someone who had never tried Dubby and wanted to know what the brand is about.

The Energy Is Real and It Hits Fast

I didn’t know what to expect the first time I drank it. I’d never used a powdered gaming energy drink before and I wasn’t sure if the energy was going to be real or just marketing. It was real. The formula doesn’t care what you’re doing it just keeps you energized and clear. If you’re looking for something that stays in your daily routine rather than just your gaming sessions, Dubby handles both without you having to think about it.

I went in not knowing what to expect and came out the other side having completely replaced my previous energy routine. That’s not something I planned and it’s not something a product earns without delivering consistently across multiple flavors and multiple weeks. Dubby did that. The formula is clean, the energy is real, the flavors are actually good, and the jars last long enough to justify the cost. The only thing standing between this and a perfect score is the price point. Drop it a little and Dubby becomes an automatic recommendation with no conditions.
