FX Saddles Up To Bring Image Comics’ Neo-Noir Western That Texas Blood To TV

WEPA! Saddle up, crime-comic fans, because That Texas Blood is riding out of the comic shop and straight into FX territory.
Image Comics’ bestselling neo-noir Western from writer Chris Condon and artist Jacob Phillips is officially being developed as a drama series at FX, with Jim Mickle and E.L. Katz teaming up to write and executive produce the adaptation. Mickle is also set to direct through 20th Television.
This ain’t your shiny cowboy fantasy, folks. That Texas Blood brings that dusty, dangerous, “don’t-trust-anybody-after-sundown” energy, perfect for fans of Yellowstone, Breaking Bad, and No Country for Old Men. The series starts with something as simple as a missing casserole dish and spirals into a tense, bloody confrontation on Sheriff Joe Bob Coates’ 70th birthday.
With Condon executive producing and Phillips serving as co-executive producer, this adaptation has the creative DNA locked in. Comics to TV? Boom. Another one for the medium
