Masoud Loghmani talk Studio Jadu & AIDA | Comic Crusaders Podcast #775

·Al Mega

Everybody is talking about AI changing entertainment, but most of those conversations eventually turn into the same argument: is the machine going to help creators or replace them? Masoud Loghmani, Founder and CEO of Studio Jadu, is trying to build around a very different question. What happens if AI gives more artists access to the kind of production power that used to require a full studio?

Masoud joins me on the Comic Crusaders Podcast to talk about AIDA, Studio Jadu’s AI-enabled animation workbench built around keeping creators involved in the actual decisions. The platform is designed to help artists develop characters, scenes, environments and shots while requiring the creator to approve, redirect or reject suggestions rather than simply handing the entire process over to a prompt.

That distinction matters because making animation cheaper does not automatically make storytelling better. Masoud argues that original characters, lived experience and creative intent still have to come from humans, while AI can help smaller teams execute ideas that might previously have been financially impossible. Studio Jadu describes that philosophy as creator-led entertainment, with tools designed to support production, distribution and monetization instead of stopping at generation.

We also get into one of the problems nobody likes talking about. If thousands more creators can suddenly make polished animation, audiences are going to have even more content fighting for their attention. Masoud has openly argued that democratizing production does not automatically democratize distribution, which means creators still need ways to build fandoms and actually reach people.

The conversation goes deeper into fan participation, original characters, creator ownership and whether AI could make human storytelling even more valuable once production quality becomes easier to achieve. Studio Jadu’s position is that the future should not be less human involvement. It should be more people finally getting the ability to execute the stories they already had in their heads.

Check out my conversation with Masoud Loghmani as we talk Studio Jadu, AIDA, independent animation, AI, fandom, creator control and what the next generation of storytelling could actually look like.
