TERMINAL #3 Cranks Superhero Violence to Maximum as a Deadly New Enemy Arrives

·Juan James

Terminal #3 Cover A by Andy Kubert and Dave McCaig

The gloves are officially off. Skybound and Image Comics have revealed a first look at Terminal #3, and if you thought this series had already found its ceiling for superhero carnage, Robert Kirkman, Joe Casey, Andy Kubert, David Finch, Arthur Adams and company apparently looked at that ceiling and decided to throw somebody through it.

Arriving in comic shops and on digital platforms on September 23, 2026, Terminal #3 continues the battle surrounding Alessandra and The Awakened as the series pushes its violent superhero war into even more dangerous territory.

After the events that have already rocked the series, Alessandra is drowning in despair, but the war has zero interest in giving her time to recover. Her team is facing larger and deadlier threats as The Awakened continue gaining power, and now a brand-new enemy is entering the battlefield.

That escalation sits right at the heart of what Terminal has been selling from the jump: superhero storytelling where nobody feels safe, the action can turn savage without warning, and the next page can completely change the shape of the fight.

Terminal was built around a creator lineup that sounds like somebody started drafting an all-star superhero comics team and forgot there was supposed to be a salary cap. Robert Kirkman and Joe Casey lead the story, with Andy Kubert, David Finch and Arthur Adams bringing decades of heavyweight superhero storytelling experience to the project.

The broader creative team includes inker Sandra Hope, colorist Dave McCaig and letterer Rus Wooton, giving the series the visual muscle and clarity needed to keep its increasingly chaotic battles readable.

For readers who love the brutality and unpredictability of Invincible mixed with the scale and team dynamics of classic X-Men, Terminal continues leaning directly into that lane while building its own increasingly nasty identity.

Collectors will have plenty to hunt when issue #3 hits shelves. The cover lineup includes:

  • Cover A by Andy Kubert & Dave McCaig
  • Cover B by David Finch & Dave McCaig
  • Cover C by Arthur Adams & Dave McCaig
  • 1:25 incentive variant by Ben Oliver
  • 1:50 incentive variant by Brandon Peterson
  • 1:100 incentive variant by Yanick Paquette & Simon Gough

Terminal #3 is a 32-page mature-readers issue priced at $3.99. It will be available through comic book shops and digital platforms including Amazon Kindle, Apple Books and Google Play on September 23.

If the first two issues were the warning shots, issue #3 looks ready to make the battlefield even uglier. Bigger threats, a new enemy and a team already running on emotional fumes? Yeah, Crusaders, this one looks like it came to break some capes.
