SWEEKAR HATCHES INTO REAL LIFE! AI Pocket Pet Grows Through Four Life Stages

WEPAAAA, tech heads, the Tamagotchi concept just got a serious 2026 upgrade.

Takway AI is introducing Sweekar, a pocket-sized AI pet that arrives as a physical egg, hatches through daily care, and physically grows through Egg, Baby, Teen and Adult stages.

The company says Sweekar weighs 89 grams and changes as users feed it, talk to it, clean it and interact with it over time. A precision stepper motor handles the physical growth, while the software side is designed to build an evolving personality and long-term memory.

Sweekar is currently live on Kickstarter, where Takway AI is presenting it as a portable AI pet built to travel with its user through phone-hotspot connectivity instead of being limited to a fixed home setup.

Takway AI says Sweekar’s growth is earned through interaction rather than simply waiting for a timer. Feeding, talking, cleaning and picking it up generate experience, and each major level-up changes how the device behaves. The company lists four stages: Egg at 6.1 cm, Baby at 6.5 cm, Teen at 6.8 cm and Adult at 7.1 cm.

The Teen stage begins adding more language and NFC-based social features, while the Adult stage is designed to become much more autonomous. According to the press materials, a fully grown Sweekar can take virtual jobs, head out on digital adventures and return with stories.

Takway AI says Sweekar uses a multi-layer memory system that can retain voice cues, habits, shared stories, favorite things and other details, then surface them later through conversation. Its personality is described as emergent rather than preset, using an MBTI-inspired framework that develops differently depending on how each person raises it.

Plenty of AI gadgets can answer questions, but Sweekar is trying to make continuity the product. The company wants the device you have six months from now to feel meaningfully different from the one that first hatched out of the box.

At 89 grams, Sweekar is deliberately pocket-sized. It can connect through 2.4GHz Wi-Fi or a phone hotspot, and the company says basic care functions remain available offline. Touch response, millimeter-wave radar for pick-up detection, vibration feedback and changing facial expressions are all part of the physical interaction layer.

Takway AI also says there is no camera onboard, while the companion app tracks life stats, memories, personality information and travel logs. Yellow, Blue and Purple versions are planned, along with interchangeable silicone shells, outfit packs and an open-source 3D-printable model for DIY customization.

Sweekar’s Kickstarter campaign is active now and is scheduled to run through September 18, 2026. The project has already moved well beyond its original funding goal, showing there is clearly an audience for a modern virtual pet that mixes nostalgia, conversational AI and physical robotics.

For anybody who grew up feeding a pixel creature between classes, this is a wild evolution of the idea. Sweekar is trying to make an AI companion feel less disposable by giving it a body that changes, memories that persist and a personality that grows alongside the relationship.

And yeah, I can already see how this ends. Somebody raises one for six months, dresses it up, takes it everywhere and starts correcting us when we call it a gadget. 😂
