DEADCRUMB Brings Spaghetti Noir to Altruist Comics on Kickstarter

Altruist Comics is heading to Kickstarter with DEADCRUMB, a new noir anthology created by Simone Guglielmini, the artist known for Near Death, Breakneck and Over My Dead Body. The first issue brings together Guglielmini with dialogue by Will Corona Pilgrim, colors by JP Jordan and lettering by Lucas Gattoni.

The series is built around Deadcrumb, an observer and archivist of the afterlife who watches people reach their breaking points. Rather than following one lead character or a single linear plot, the book moves through separate fragments of personal darkness, with crime, moral compromise and consequences tying the stories together.

Guglielmini describes the project as a shift from his previous crime work, leaning into an anthology structure inspired by stories where ordinary people are pushed past their limits. Visually, the book embraces heavy blacks and a moody crime-comic atmosphere, while the creative team layers in dialogue, color and lettering designed to keep the tension front and center.

Publisher Randy Stone says the goal was to surround Guglielmini’s storytelling with a team that could match the book’s tone. The result is a project aimed at readers who gravitate toward crime and noir titles such as Criminal and 100 Bullets, but with a supernatural framing device that gives each story its own angle.

The Kickstarter includes print and digital editions, limited variant covers, custom art commissions and early-bird rewards. The campaign is scheduled to close on October 29, 2026.
