Dark Horse Books Unearths Did You Hear What Eddie Gein Done? Expanded Edition For 2027

Dark Horse Books is bringing Harold Schechter and Eric Powell’s acclaimed true-crime graphic novel Did You Hear What Eddie Gein Done? back to shelves in a new Expanded Edition, arriving in paperback on February 2, 2027. This edition comes packed with a haunting new cover by Powell, plus never-before-seen bonus material including creator commentary, research photos, historical insights, and new content that digs deeper into the nightmare behind one of America’s most infamous criminal cases.

Written by Schechter and Powell, with Powell handling the art, the book explores the Gein family, the trauma, the obsession, and the horrific events that helped inspire genre landmarks like Psycho, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, and The Silence of the Lambs. But this ain’t cheap shock-value horror, folks. Schechter and Powell pull the story out of exploitation territory and treat it like what it is: tragic, disturbing, and deeply human in the ugliest way possible.
