HOMER’S THE ODYSSEY & THE ILIAD GET A GRAPHIC NOVEL SET FROM ABLAZE

Crusaders, if somebody tells you the classics are boring, hand them monsters, war, gods, revenge, shipwrecks, rage, betrayal, and enough bad decisions to power several modern streaming dramas.

ABLAZE has launched HOMER’S THE ODYSSEY & THE ILIAD GRAPHIC NOVEL SET on BackerKit, packaging two of the most influential stories in Western literature into graphic novel form for readers who would rather experience epic mythology with panels, pacing, and visual fire than stare down a classroom brick of text.

The Iliad brings the fury of the Trojan War, while The Odyssey follows Odysseus through one of the original “just trying to get home and everything goes horribly wrong” adventures. Cyclopes, gods, monsters, temptation, warfare, pride, and consequences are all baked into the DNA of these stories, which is exactly why creators keep coming back to them centuries later.

The BackerKit campaign is live now, giving readers a chance to support the set directly and get these legendary narratives in a format built for modern comic readers. For younger readers, educators, mythology fans, and people who always wanted to tackle Homer but bounced off the traditional presentation, this is a pretty inviting doorway.

That is the fun part of adaptations like this. The stories do not suddenly become important because they are illustrated. They were already important. The art simply gives a different generation another way into them.

If you like sword-and-sandal drama, mythology, monster stories, war comics, or fantasy that actually helped build the foundation for everything that came after it, there is a lot to dig into here.
