It Demands Sacrifice Drops a Grisly 10-Page Preview Before FOC

WEPA! BAD IDEA looked at a cute baby goat, looked at a satanic murder cult, looked back at the goat, and apparently said, “Yeah, this is our comic.” Now It Demands Sacrifice #1 has dropped a grisly 10-page lettered preview ahead of Final Order Cutoff, and Bronson’s terrible, horrible, extremely messed-up day is coming into much sharper focus.

The horror series comes from writers Philip Gelatt and David Yarovesky, artist Adam Pollina and colorist Dean White. The first issue is scheduled for October 7, 2026, priced at $5.99 for 32 full-color pages, with orders due September 14.

The story begins on a quiet farm where Bronson, the smallest member of a family of goats, mostly worries about proving himself to his siblings and his imposing father. Then a drug-fueled satanic cult descends on the farm, murders the humans protecting the herd, abducts the goats and prepares them for an ancient ritual designed to summon something extremely hungry from beyond.

That leaves Bronson, the runt nobody expects to save the day, trying to rescue his family from knife-wielding cultists and supernatural horror. The contrast is the entire hook: an absurdly adorable protagonist dropped into a genuinely nasty horror setup where the danger is not played like a Saturday morning cartoon.

BAD IDEA’s new lettered preview puts Adam Pollina’s pages front and center, including black-and-white material that will appear fully colored by Dean White in the finished comic. Pollina’s exaggerated expressions and kinetic page layouts fit the premise because the story needs to move between ridiculous, grotesque and legitimately tense without losing its identity.

The cover lineup is equally stacked, with work from Skottie Young, Tony Fleecs, Patrick Horvath, Mark Buckingham, Brett Bean, Flops, Suspiria and more. The newly promoted artwork includes Skottie Young’s foil cover and Patrick Horvath’s Cover C.

It Demands Sacrifice #1 hits comic shops October 7, 2026. Final Order Cutoff is September 14, giving readers and retailers one last window to lock in copies before Bronson’s nightmare officially begins.
