Vault Goes BIG With MONEY SHOT: DELUXXXE EDITION Kickstarter Collecting the Entire NSFW Sci-Fi Saga
Vault is taking one of its wildest, funniest, and most unapologetically adult sci-fi comics and giving it the oversized treatment it deserves. Money Shot is officially going deluxe, mi gente, and judging by what Vault is packing into these books, they clearly understood the assignment.
The publisher has launched a brand-new Kickstarter campaign for two massive Money Shot: DeluXXXe Edition oversized hardcovers, collecting the complete series to date across six story arcs, exclusive shorts, bonus material, and enough cosmic chaos to make your bookshelf start asking questions.

Each hardcover clocks in at an oversized 11 inches, giving the artwork some serious room to breathe while packing more than 300 pages into each volume. Kickstarter backers can also get their hands on an exclusive edition featuring a special “revealing” dust jacket, foil treatments, and additional upgrades that can be unlocked as the campaign rolls forward.
For anybody somehow unfamiliar with Money Shot, buckle up because this ain’t your grandfather’s space exploration comic. The series follows the XXX-Plorers, a crew of scientists facing one of humanity’s oldest problems: somebody has to pay for all this research. Their solution? Travel across the universe, make extremely adult interspecies content along the way, and use the proceeds to keep the science moving.
Yeah. They went there.
At the center of the madness is Dr. Christine Ocampo, a scientist whose deep-space ambitions are considerably larger than her funding. What starts with one outrageous idea quickly grows into something much bigger, with the crew discovering civilizations, relationships, cultures, dangers, and corners of the universe nobody on Earth was remotely prepared for.
The ridiculous premise has always been the hook, but Money Shot earned its audience because there was more underneath the joke. Across its run, the series has mixed sex-positive comedy, science fiction, relationship drama, social commentary, emotional storytelling, and absolute WTF cosmic situations without pretending any of those ingredients shouldn’t exist in the same book.
Money Shot: DeluXXXe Edition Volume One collects issues #1-15, covering the beginning of the XXX-Plorers’ journey with more than 300 pages of material, including the fan-favorite Money Shot Playboy short.
Volume Two keeps the party moving with issues #16-30, another 300-plus pages of story, and a brand-new short written by Tim Seeley created specifically for this collection.
Across both books, readers get work from a stacked lineup of creators including Tim Seeley, Patton Oswalt, Rebekah Isaacs, Garth Graham, and many more contributors who helped turn one wonderfully inappropriate elevator pitch into one of Vault’s most recognizable cult hits.
Look, deluxe editions are everywhere right now, but Money Shot was practically begging for this format. Bigger pages, complete arcs, extra material, exclusive Kickstarter treatments, and the entire beautiful intergalactic mess collected across two monster hardcovers? Yeah, Vault knew exactly what they were doing with this one.
