The Muppets Invade the Marvel Universe in Wild New 50th Anniversary Variant Covers

Kermit, Miss Piggy, Rizzo, and the Entire Muppet Crew Join Marvel’s Greatest Heroes for a September Crossover Packed With Superhero Action and Glorious Chaos

The Marvel Universe is about to get a whole lot more felt, funny, and completely unpredictable. In celebration of the 50th anniversary of The Muppet Show, Marvel Comics is bringing the Muppets into its superhero playground this September with a collection of all-new variant covers featuring some truly unexpected team-ups.

Kermit, Miss Piggy, Rizzo, and more beloved members of the Muppet crew will appear alongside Marvel’s legendary heroes across select September releases. Whether they are helping save the world, stealing the spotlight, or turning a perfectly normal superhero mission into a five-alarm mess, the Muppets are bringing their signature comedy straight into the House of Ideas.

The celebration will also include The Muppets Take the Marvel Universe #1, a special one-shot featuring original stories from Chip Zdarsky, Phillip Kennedy Johnson, Pete Woods, Ashley Allen, MacKenzie Cadenhead, Kyle Starks, David Baldeon, Mike Henderson, and more. The issue is currently scheduled to arrive on September 23, 2026.

Let’s keep it real, fam. Marvel heroes handle aliens, gods, monsters, and multiversal madness every Tuesday. But Miss Piggy walking into the room with something to prove? That might finally be the threat nobody trained for.

The Muppet Variant Covers will roll out across ten select Marvel titles throughout September, delivering a crossover loaded with nostalgia, superhero spectacle, and the kind of glorious nonsense only the Muppets can pull off.
