POSTAL Goes Off the Rails and Into Comics With First-Ever Series, 19-Page Preview and $100K Kickstarter

·Al Mega

Running With Scissors and Roditeli Productions bring the POSTAL Dude to comics with a stacked creative team, guest covers and enough conspiracy-fueled madness to ruin anybody’s Monday.

After decades of turning bad decisions, questionable morality and absolute video game insanity into a cult phenomenon, POSTAL is finally coming to comics.

Running With Scissors, the studio behind the infamous and unapologetically unhinged POSTAL video game franchise, has teamed with Roditeli Productions for the first-ever POSTAL comic book series, scheduled to arrive in late 2026.

And they are not easing fans into this thing with a cute little teaser. Nah. They have dropped a 19-page digital preview giving readers their first real taste of what happens when the POSTAL Dude trades pixels for panels.

With tens of millions of copies sold across the franchise according to the announcement, POSTAL has spent years expanding way beyond the original games through sequels, spin-offs, a documentary and even a feature film. Comics somehow remained the unexplored neighborhood. Until now.

The new series is produced and co-written by Kevin Roditeli (SWAT Kats, X-O Manowar, Bad Omens: Concrete Jungle) alongside co-writer Rob Cannon (Freak Snow, Anime Animay), and from the setup alone, it sounds like the creative team understood the assignment.

The POSTAL Dude is simply trying to survive what appears to be a normal Monday. Yeah, good luck with that. His already fragile peace gets blown to pieces when he comes across an advertisement for a sinister dating app, kicking off another conspiracy-fueled spiral into paranoia, madness and, because this is POSTAL, probably a whole lot of decisions nobody should attempt at home.

Visually, the series brings some serious horsepower. Alex Riegel, whose credits include Image Comics’ Standstill and Scumbag, handles the artwork, while Moreno Dinisio (Deadpool/Batman, Avengers, Power Rangers) provides colors. Serge LaPointe (Fantastic Four, Assassin’s Creed, WWE, Batman Begins) handles lettering and design, with Chris Stevens (Marvel Artbooks) serving as editor.

The cover lineup is getting ridiculous too, and I mean that in the best possible way. Guest artists already announced include Jim Mahfood (Fortnite, Tank Girl, Ultimate Spider-Man, Post Malone’s Big Rig), John McCrea (Hitman, 2000 AD, Batman, Deadpool), Daniel Hillyard (Plastic, Plush, Vinyl, I Was a Fashion School Serial Killer), Vlad Legostaev (Transformers, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Exquisite Corpses), Frederik Hornung (Hello Darkness) and Drew Moss (ThunderCats, Disney’s Gargoyles). More artists are still expected to be revealed.

For Roditeli, this is not just another licensed gig. The dude has been riding with POSTAL for more than two decades.

“As a diehard POSTAL fan for over 20 years, I’ve been ecstatic about putting together a POSTAL comic,” said Kevin Roditeli, CEO and creative director at Roditeli Productions. He added that the team worked closely with Running With Scissors’ Vince Desi and Mike J to capture as much authentic POSTAL energy as possible in every panel.

Now here comes the crowdfunding part.

The POSTAL FIRST EVER COMIC BOOK Kickstarter campaign launches Tuesday, August 11, 2026, with a funding goal of $100,000 USD. Fans can follow the campaign page now to receive an alert when everything goes live.

Funds are intended to support artwork production, printing and manufacturing of the campaign rewards. Among the bigger collectibles is a Kickstarter-exclusive hardcover edition featuring premium printing and content that, according to the campaign announcement, will not be made available outside the crowdfunding campaign. Backers can also expect exclusive POSTAL merchandise including T-shirts, pins and art prints.

For longtime POSTAL fans, this feels like one of those “how the hell did this not happen sooner?” moments. The franchise’s mixture of satire, violence, absurdity and complete disrespect for good taste already speaks comic-book language fluently. Put that insanity in the hands of artists who know how to make every panel hit, and you have the potential for one seriously wild ride.

And with the POSTAL Dude getting triggered by a dating app this time around? C’mon. Half the internet probably just whispered, “Yeah, I get it.”
