Ashley Allen and Germán Peralta reunite for a five-issue X-ORCISTS series throwing Magik, Juggernaut, Madelyne Pryor and more into the darkest corners of mutant magic.
Marvel is opening the gates of Limbo again this November, and whatever comes crawling through is about to have a very bad day.
Magik is leading a new mystical X-team in X-ORCISTS, a five-issue limited series from writer Ashley Allen and artist Germán Peralta that dives headfirst into the supernatural side of mutantkind. The creative duo behind Magik and Magik & Colossus are reuniting for another chapter in Illyana Rasputin’s story, only this time the threat is bigger, uglier and coming straight out of the demonic realm she once ruled. And Illyana is not walking into this fight solo.
Joining Magik are fellow X-Man Juggernaut and Madelyne Pryor, the Goblin Queen and current Queen of Limbo, along with a larger lineup of mystical heroes Marvel has yet to fully reveal. Together, they will face a demonic invasion that threatens humans and mutants alike, while the return of a major X-Men villain could tear apart the supernatural balance of mutantkind altogether. Yeah, somebody better stock up on holy water.

The nightmare kicks off when a demon escapes Limbo and begins rampaging through the mortal world. Magik and Juggernaut quickly join forces with Madelyne Pryor to hunt it down, but this is not some random horned troublemaker they can smack around and toss back through a portal. Whatever has broken loose is unlike anything they have encountered before, forcing the trio to assemble additional firepower before the situation goes completely to hell. Literally.
For Allen, X-ORCISTS marks another opportunity to dig deeper into two women whose histories have been shaped by power, manipulation and the fight to control their own destinies.
“Round three, baby! In all seriousness, I’m incredibly grateful to continue this journey with Germán and the rest of the Magik team, telling the story of a character so close to my and fans’ hearts,” Allen said. “Magik and Madelyne are both women who have been told what their paths should be, only to choose their own destinies. Exploring this has been such a powerful and rewarding experience and I’m excited for fans to see these two characters reclaim their power, evolve from their pasts, and discover what it means to truly wield themselves.”

That relationship alone should make things interesting. Illyana and Madelyne have both spent plenty of time tangled up in Limbo, demonic power and people trying to decide who they are supposed to be. Putting those personalities together while the supernatural world starts falling apart sounds like exactly the kind of beautifully dysfunctional X-Men madness we sign up for. Peralta is equally hyped about returning to Illyana’s world and getting another shot at Marvel’s darker, mystical corner.
“If you had told me as a kid that I would be drawing X-Men comics, I wouldn’t have believed it,” Peralta shared. “This is a special X-Book exploring the mystical and dark side of the mutant world, what more could I ask for? Well, I think just one thing, and luckily, that happened too: having Ashley Allen again as the writer!”
Peralta also praised Allen’s understanding of the characters beyond simply figuring out who can throw the biggest magical punch.
“I really enjoy working with Ashley,” he continued. “She perfectly understands the characters, not just their powers and how to use them, but also their emotions and motivations. I couldn’t imagine a better partner to embark on this new journey with our beloved Illyana. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as we are making it.”

Marvel’s mutant corner has always gotten weird once sorcery enters the building, and X-ORCISTS looks ready to lean all the way into it. Magik already brings enough demonic baggage to fill an airport carousel, Madelyne Pryor has never exactly been known for quiet afternoons and herbal tea, and now Juggernaut is stepping into a supernatural throwdown where punching harder may not solve everything. Although knowing Cain Marko, he is absolutely going to try.
X-ORCISTS #1 arrives this November 2026, kicking off the five-issue limited series from Ashley Allen and Germán Peralta. Covers have been revealed from Ben Harvey, Dike Ruan and Russell Dauterman, with the debut issue available to preorder through local comic shops.
Demons are loose. Limbo is involved. Magik has assembled a squad.
The X-ORCISTS are coming, mi gente, and mutant magic is about to get messy.
