PREDATOR VS. PUNISHER Turns New York City Into the Deadliest Hunting Ground This November

Frank Castle faces the galaxy’s most dangerous hunter in a blood-soaked four-issue Marvel Comics showdown from Frank Tieri and Jesús Saíz.

Marvel Comics just dropped one hell of a matchup at San Diego Comic-Con. This November, two of pop culture’s most relentless killing machines finally collide in PREDATOR VS. PUNISHER, a four-issue limited series from writer Frank Tieri and artist Jesús Saíz.

Announced during Marvel’s Next Big Thing panel on July 24, the series brings the Predator into Frank Castle’s territory, transforming New York City into one massive hunting ground.

And listen, this is not some friendly misunderstanding followed by a superhero team-up and a handshake. Nah, fam. The streets are about to become a straight-up war zone.

After testing himself against some of Marvel’s greatest heroes, the galaxy’s deadliest hunter arrives on Earth searching for prey worthy of his blades. Unfortunately for everybody caught in the middle, he finds the man with the skull on his chest.

As New York’s crime bosses begin dropping, Frank Castle realizes something far more dangerous than another gangland war has entered his city. The Predator is stalking the streets, the body count is climbing, and neither hunter is known for walking away from a fight.

The series will also drag several major Marvel underworld figures into the carnage, including Kingpin, Jigsaw, Silvermane, The Owl, and more. That is a whole lot of ego, bullets, blood, and bad decisions packed into one city.

“This is the series that’ll answer the age-old question of who is pop culture’s greatest killing machine,” Tieri teased.

Tieri is no stranger to Frank Castle, having previously written the character in projects including Punisher Noir and the gloriously unhinged Space: Punisher. However, this marks his first time writing the Predator, a character he has loved since watching Arnold Schwarzenegger yell, “Get to the Choppa!” on the big screen.

According to Tieri, the Predator will deliberately ignite a mob war between some of Marvel’s most dangerous gangland players. The criminals, however, may only be bait for the hunter’s true target.

You already know who that is.

Tieri also promises mountains of violence, major twists, and an unexpected shared history between Frank Castle and the Predator. Exactly how these two brutal warriors are connected remains under wraps, but that revelation could turn this showdown into more than another crossover slugfest.

“Seeing two iconic killers test each other in ways neither expects is a guilty joy,” Marvel editor Mark Paniccia said. “Frank Tieri and Jesús Saíz are the perfect choice to deliver a showdown this ruthless, visceral, and unforgettable. They’ve created an instant classic!”

Marvel also revealed new artwork for the series, including a promotional piece by Dustin Weaver, a variant cover from Alex Maleev, and an homage cover by Leinil Francis Yu inspired by Frank Castle’s legendary debut in Amazing Spider-Man #129.

Let’s keep it a buck. On paper, this matchup makes almost too much sense. Both characters are heavily armed, tactically brilliant, stubborn as hell, and driven by their own uncompromising codes. Frank Castle hunts criminals. The Predator hunts anything dangerous enough to earn its attention.

Now they are hunting each other.

Frank Castle has survived wars, assassins, superheroes, monsters, and half the criminal population of New York. But the Predator has crossed galaxies looking for opponents exactly like him.
