SPACE BANSHEE EXORCIST Blasts Onto Kickstarter And Fam, This One Sounds Completely Unhinged in the Best Way

·Al Mega

Time Bomb Comics’ wild anthology favorite is leveling up into a full graphic novel packed with sci-fi madness, folk horror flavor, monsters, mystery, and cosmic attitude.

WEPA, Crusaders! Strap in, because Time Bomb Comics is sending readers deep into the weird side of the galaxy with Space Banshee Exorcist, a brand-new graphic novel collection that takes one of their most wonderfully bonkers anthology stars and gives her the full spotlight.

The book brings together the full-length Space Banshee Exorcist story that previously ran in Quantum, along with a reworked version of the original story from Brawler. That first tale was originally drawn by Grace Toscano, but for this collection, series artist Danielle Wiebe has redrawn it fresh, giving the whole package a cleaner, unified look. Translation? No patchwork vibes here, mi gente. This is the upgraded edition.

At the center of the madness is Fenshaw, the Space Banshee herself, working as an exorcist across a far-future, ultra-capitalist galaxy where the monsters are nasty, the humans need saving, and the job description probably says “must be okay with nightmare fuel.”

Past adventures have thrown Fenshaw against kelpies and krakens, but this new graphic novel sends her to Morrigan, a mysterious medical testing moon where clones are vanishing. A pharmaceutical inventor hires her to figure out what’s happening and eliminate whatever creature is behind it. Simple gig, right? Yeah, sure. And the MTA runs on time.

Fenshaw quickly discovers the situation is darker, deeper, and way more dangerous than expected. While she’s trying to survive the mission, she’s also forced to wrestle with her own place in the universe. So yes, we’re getting creatures, cosmic horror, noir vibes, sci-fi adventure, and a lead character with enough energy to kick a ghost through an airlock.

Created by writer Katie Cunningham, following her Time Bomb Comics graphic novel Rotten Under the Snow, Space Banshee Exorcist first appeared in Brawler #1 in 2020. Artist Danielle Wiebe joined with the second story in Brawler #2, and from there, the comic built itself a loyal fanbase including Time Bomb publisher Steve Tanner, who described the concept as completely bonkers, but in the kind of way that absolutely works. And honestly? That’s the sweet spot right there.

Cunningham called the series a wild mix of folk horror, noir, sci-fi, and adventure, saying every crazy idea she sends over comes back from Wiebe ten times crazier. That’s the kind of creative tag-team energy we love to see,  a writer throws a grenade, artist turns it into fireworks, everybody wins.

The Space Banshee Exorcist Kickstarter pre-order campaign runs from July 7 through August 1, giving fans the chance to lock in this strange, stylish, monster-hunting cosmic ride before it lands.

So if your comic shelf needs something different, something weird, sharp, spooky, funny, and ready to punch the galaxy in the throat, keep your radar locked on Space Banshee Exorcist.

Because Fenshaw is coming, the ghosts are nervous, and the moon of Morrigan is about to learn the hard way: you don’t hire a Space Banshee unless you’re ready for things to get loud.
