Warren Ellis Returns to Image Comics With Cosmic Horror Nightmare Ghost Drive Station

Wepa, horror heads, Image Comics is sending readers straight into the desert this November, and whatever is waiting out there definitely ain’t coming to shake hands.

Warren Ellis, the writer behind Transmetropolitan and Trees, is teaming with Grammy-nominated artist and designer Lordess Foudre for Ghost Drive Station, an all-new graphic novella mixing noir mystery, digital-age paranoia, death, and full-blown cosmic horror. Image Comics has positioned the book as a collision of True Detective-style damaged-detective energy with the nightmare fuel of Event Horizon and the endless unease of the Backrooms.

The story follows a haunted investigator sent to an isolated desert research station after it suddenly goes offline. What should be another investigation quickly turns nasty when he discovers an experiment involving immortality has gone horribly wrong, with consequences that could reach far beyond the station and hit painfully close to home.
