Solar Sisters Launches From Papercutz With New Music, Animated Videos and Tabletop Game

WEPAAAA! Solar Sisters is officially out from Papercutz, and the sci-fi graphic novel is already expanding beyond comics. The Mad Cave Studios children’s imprint and Animotion Media Group are pairing the book with original songs, animated music videos and a tabletop roleplaying game planned for 2027.

The graphic novel is written by Amit Tishler and Elliot Sperl, illustrated by Virginia Salucci, colored by Giulia Zucca and lettered by Taylor Esposito. Its accompanying music project kicked off October 9 with the single “Solar Cyclone,” performed by HalaCG as Nova Starr and guest vocalist Risa Mei as Luna Dust. The song appears within the book itself, connecting the fictional performers to the music audiences can actually hear.

Composer and producer Alon Kaplan collaborated with Tishler and HalaCG on the three-track EP, currently titled Solar Sisters: Nova Starr. HalaCG also contributes lyrics and creative direction. Tishler directed the animated “Solar Cyclone” video, which features artwork from Salucci, Zucca and Saturn Ibarra.

The rollout continues November 6 with “Controlled,” followed by “Watch Me Fall” on December 4. Both upcoming videos are slated for HalaCG’s YouTube channel, giving the characters another platform outside the graphic novel.

Looking ahead, Stardom: The Solar Sisters Game is in development with Lichenwood Games and Tishler’s 10 Forward Productions for 2027. The family-friendly, nonviolent tabletop roleplaying game centers on the pursuit of fame, carrying the franchise’s entertainment-industry theme into interactive storytelling.

Solar Sisters is available now through comic shops, bookstores and Papercutz and Mad Cave Studios. Between the book, music and game, this is a launch built to let young fans discover the same world in more than one way.
