From Fanboy to Felon: Parker Robbins’ Dark Origin Unleashed in Origins of The Hood: Marvel Rivals #1

WEPA! Marvel fans, lock in, because Parker Robbins is stepping out of the shadows, and this ain’t your friendly neighborhood origin story. ORIGINS OF THE HOOD: MARVEL RIVALS #1 is bringing the pain, the ambition, the heartbreak, and that dangerous “I got nothing left to lose” energy straight to the printed page.

Written by Paul Allor with art by Francesco Archidiacono, this new print release dives into the early life of Parker Robbins, better known as The Hood, peeling back the layers on how a kid who once looked up to heroes starts sliding toward villainy, power, and straight-up bad decisions with premium Marvel seasoning.

Originally running as a Marvel Rivals Infinity Comic, this story expands the world of the game while bringing in major Marvel players like Captain America and Kingpin. And come on — when your life is falling apart and your response is “let me attack Kingpin’s empire,” you are either brave, broken, or completely out of your mind. Maybe all three. That’s comic book flavor right there.

After watching his family and dreams crumble, Parker takes destiny into his own hands, but that road leads him straight to prison and face-to-face with the childhood hero who once inspired him. That’s where things get real. Parker doesn’t just want survival anymore. He wants power. And when a man like Parker Robbins decides he’ll do whatever it takes, the Marvel Universe better start checking the locks.

Fans can also check out the main cover by Paco Diaz and a variant cover by Federico Sabbatini, with preorders available now at local comic shops.

ORIGINS OF THE HOOD: MARVEL RIVALS #1 is not just another villain origin. It’s the story of ambition turning poisonous, hero worship going sideways, and one man realizing that if the world won’t give him power… he’ll take it.
