Mike Mignola Opens the Circus of Bones With 53 New Watercolor Paintings

Mi gente, when Mike Mignola decides to open the doors to his imagination, you walk through them. Act 4 Publishing, Skybound and Image Comics are giving fans a new reason to do exactly that with Circus of Bones: The Art of Mike Mignola, a hardcover art book built as the official companion to Mignola’s upcoming New York City gallery exhibition.

The 144-page hardcover is not simply another collection of familiar Hellboy-era imagery pulled from the archives. Mignola created 53 brand-new watercolor paintings specifically for the exhibition, giving readers a chance to see the legendary artist working in a medium that brings a different texture and atmosphere to his unmistakable visual language.

And they are not stopping at the watercolors. Circus of Bones also gathers new ink illustrations, 29 new pencil drawings, previously published covers and additional published artwork.
