Devil’s Due Studios Unleashes RUN FROM THE SUN, A Blood-Pumping Vampire Survival Horror Nightmare This September

A stranded vampire becomes the target of the world’s richest monster-hunters in a vicious new mature readers series from The Cabin Boyz, artist Unai de Zarate, and Devil’s Due Studios.

Devil’s Due Studios is stepping back into creator-owned publishing this September, and fam, they are not playing nice. RUN FROM THE SUN #1 hits comic shops on September 9, 2026, bringing a nasty, sun-scorched twist to vampire survival horror.

Written by The Cabin Boyz, Shawn DePasquale and Matthew Cohen, with art by Unai de Zarate, the story kicks off with a woman waking up on a remote tropical island with no memory, no backup, and one seriously ugly problem: wealthy elites are hunting people for sport. But this time, their prey is a vampire. Oops. Billionaire bad decisions, table for one.

Trapped under brutal daylight, she has to survive long enough for nightfall, because once the sun goes down, the hunters may learn the hard way that money does not buy survival.

The debut issue has already caught attention, with bestselling writer Charles Soule saying, “Despite the vampires, this book very much does not suck. Such a fun read!”

Devil’s Due Studios publisher Josh Blaylock describes the series as a grounded thriller mixed with vampiric horror and just the right amount of “billionaires-getting-what’s-coming-to-them” energy.
