The Brooklyn Horror Film Festival has unleashed its full 2026 program, bringing eight days of horror, retrospectives, premieres and special events to Nitehawk Cinema Williamsburg from October 15 through October 22.
The festival opens with the U.S. premiere of Nicky Murphy’s vampire mockumentary I Love Paris. Marion Le Corroller’s Species (Sanguine) takes the Centerpiece slot, while Nick Kozakis’ action-horror Kick On closes the festival.
BHFF will also honor filmmaking family The Adams Family with this year’s Leviathan Award alongside the New York premiere of The Glorious Dead. Larry Fessenden brings Trauma, or Monsters All, the conclusion to his blue-collar universe of Universal Monster-inspired films.
The retrospective lineup includes a 50th anniversary 35mm screening of J.D.’s Revenge, the 35th anniversary of Wes Craven’s The People Under the Stairs, Rachel Talalay’s Ghost in the Machine on 35mm and a special Trick ‘r Treat screening followed by a conversation with Michael Dougherty.
Documentary programming includes Rubberhead: The Life & Monsters of Steve Johnson and Full Moon Rising: The Charles Band Story, while the festival’s Culture Shock and Fear in Focus programs spotlight Black horror and cyber horror.
The Brooklyn Horror Film Festival runs October 15 through October 22, 2026, with all screenings at Nitehawk Cinema Williamsburg. Festival badges are already on sale, with individual tickets scheduled to follow.
Keep it locked to Comic Crusaders for more horror coverage as the 2026 festival season gets bloody.
